Curbell Electronics, Inc., a subsidiary of
Curbell, Inc., a privately-held company headquartered in Orchard Park, NY, a suburb of Buffalo, NY. Curbell, Inc., the parent company, has 16 locations throughout the United States and conducts its business within two distinct companies:
Curbell Plastics, Inc. and Curbell Electronics, Inc.
Curbell Machine Company was established in 1942 as a local machine shop in the heart of Buffalo’s industrial district. As a subcontractor for government and military contracts during World War II, the company devoted its efforts exclusively to the custom fabrication of plastics. Customers such as Curtiss-Wright and Bell Aircraft utilized Curbell’s expertise in plastic fabrication to develop military aircraft used during the war.
In 1947, the company incorporated and changed its name to Curbell Plastics to meet chemical manufacturers’ post-war needs for distribution of the many new polymer materials that were being introduced to industrial markets.
Having gained a great deal of plastics fabrication experience since its inception in 1942, Curbell began manufacturing plastic housings at the request of the General Electric Company in 1960. At the time, these housings were used as wired remote television controls used in patient rooms in hospitals throughout the United States. The Electronics Division emerged when Curbell began assembling complete wired remote control units for General Electric, commonly referred to today as “Pillow Speakers.” The Division utilized its valuable assembly experience and knowledge to build relationships with a variety of other television manufacturers, such as the Zenith Radio Corporation.
Today, Curbell Electronics, Inc. is the largest manufacturer of signaling devices and other related accessories for both the hospital and nursing home marketplaces in the United States. In addition to its own label, Curbell Electronics manufactures a variety of other private label products and accessories for most of the major hospital communication system manufacturers in the United States.
Over the years, Curbell's product line has expanded to include many other products for nurse call systems, hospital beds, televisions, fall management, patient monitoring, and paging. But what sets Curbell apart from our competition isn't our innovative products or our diverse product line - it's our people. Our skilled salespeople, highly-trained engineers and technicians, and caring customer service team offer our customers unmatched prices, products, and service.
As Curbell continued to grow in both size and complexity, Curbell Electronics developed and implemented a quality management system. This system demonstrates Curbell’s ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and regulatory requirements, and addresses customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including continual improvement and the prevention of nonconformity.
